CS-820 Desktop Spectrophotometer for Milk Measurement
Milk is the oldest beverages, it is named by “white blood” which we could see its importance to human body. In different countries, milk is separated into difference grades. Nowadays the most common seen milk are whole milk, low fat milk and defatted milk. And there are many different kinds of additives for milk for example high calcium low-fat milk which calcium is added into milk.
How could we test the milk color value? We will introduce it.
As we know, milk is liquid, colorimeter can not test the liquid, so we will use high technology spectrophotometer. Bench top spectrophotometer CS-820 made by CHNSpec Technology adopts CLEDS as light sources with double beams spectral analysis technology. It adopts D/8 as its illumination to meet the measurement requirements for different kinds of industries. It could measurement under condition of both SCI and SCE.
We could see the testing result directly from its large screen without connecting PC. It will be more convenient to set the instrument. It could work with color management and color matching software. Its testing caliber could be adjusted and the largest testing caliber could reach 25.4mm to meet the testing requirement for different samples. CS-820 spectrophotometer could not only test the opaque sample but also suitable for testing the transmittance and turbidness of transparent and semitransparent liquid. With sideward testing caliber, it will be more convenient to fix the white caliberation board on the testing caliber to ensure the testing accuracy. And samples with different thickness could also be fixed on it in case of light entering into the instrument.

The 1st Step: Prepare the target and testing samples.
The 2nd Step: Turn on the bench top spectrophotometer CS-820 and then calibrate it.
The 3rd Step: After calibration, press “cancel” to exit, then put the sample on the testing caliber. (Note: make sure sample covers full testing caliber), press “test” for measurement.
Then press “save” to save it as target sample. It will be more convenient to compare it with the testing result of testing sample.
The 4th Step: Press “Menu” to enter into the sample testing interface. Put the target sample under the instrument, press “test” for measurement and then compare the value.
We could get the L,A,B and color difference value according to the above steps.
